 Il Withney Museum è la più importante Istituzione  d'Arte e di Cultura americana del nostro tempo. L'edificio è stato progettato dall'architetto Renzo Piano. Sorge nel Meatpacking District of Manhattan, una meta dell'architettura d'avanguardia, del design, della moda, dei ristoranti e della vita notturna.Nell'Whitney Museum sono visibili le più importanti opere d'arte degli Stati Uniti del '900: Edward Hopper, Alexander Calder, Georgia O'Keeffe, Jackson Pollock, Jasper Johns.
